For When The Unexpected Happens....
"The Student Relief Fund is literally keeping students in school."
-Craig Stambaugh, Asst. VP - Division of Student Affairs
WHAT IS THE STUDENT RELIEF FUND?
The Student Relief Fund (SRF) is there when the unexpected happens - an unforeseen financial emergency or a catastrophic event, making a student financially vulnerable. It is the last available resource, serving as a safety net for a student, filling the gap in a financial emergency.
100% of your gift benefits a Stockton student experiencing dire financial circumstances that may have resulted from events such as house fire, medical emergency, job loss, or the reality that all financial options have been exhausted. Without these funds, a student potentially faces the choice of buying books or buying food, affording safe housing or becoming homeless, and ultimately, the decision to remain in school or withdraw. "The Student Relief Fund is literally keeping students in school", said Craig Stambaugh, Asst. Vice President, Division of Student Affairs.
HOW DOES THE STUDENT RELIEF FUND WORK?
Every student receiving financial support from the SRF works directly with the staff from the Division of Student Affairs to explore all available resources. To date, SRF assistance grants have ranged from $150-$1,200 depending on the individual circumstances, and have provided critical, short-term financial relief for not only tuition assistance, but daily needs such as food and shelter, personal care, books, transportation, and more. And the need is great. Greater than we are able to provide.
The SRF is funded entirely by charitable donations. Please know your gift to the SRF, no matter the size, can have an immediate and life-changing impact.
From Our Grateful Students...
“This fund is very important to me since it allowed me to purchase the books I needed for the semester. Without the fund, I wouldn’t have been able to continue to be a Stockton student.”
"I am a single mother working full time raising two teenagers. I have exhausted all financial assistance and loan options. It was truly a blessing to receive money from the Student Relief Fund."
"I am extremely appreciative for the assistance. This money will help me with housing and keep me on track with my studies! Thank you again for your support."
