About Stockton Men’s Basketball
Stockton Men’s Basketball supports the Athletics and University mission by providing significant components of the whole-person Stockton education. Stockton student-athletes perform both in the classroom and on the court. The student-athlete graduation rate is higher than that of non-athletes, with 75% having a GPA of at least 3.0 These players and teams represent the very best of Stockton.
- Stockton used teamwork, depth and strong defense to post an 18-9 overall record that was an eight-win improvement over last season. Ranked seventh in the NJAC preseason coaches poll, the Ospreys tied for first in the conference with a 14-4 mark, reached the league championship game and finished as the NJAC Tournament runner-up.
- Stockton finished sixth in NCAA Division III in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to a paltry 38.1 percent shooting from the floor. The Ospreys topped the NJAC in three-point field goal percentage defense (.315) and rebounding margin (+4.9).
- Scott Bittner was voted NJAC Coach of the Year and freshman DJ Campbell was selected NJAC Rookie of the Year. Sophomore Kyion Flanders was chosen to the NJAC First Team while Campbell and senior Jordan Taylor were NJAC Honorable Mention selections.
