Stockton Men’s Lacrosse supports the University mission by providing significant components of the whole-person Stockton education. Stockton student-athletes perform both in the classroom and on the field. The student-athlete graduation rate is higher than that of non-athletes, with 75% having a GPA of at least 3.0 Lacrosse players represent the very best that Stockton has to offer.
Stockton earned its first-ever conference championship and first NCAA Tournament berth, which resulted in the program’s first NCAA Tournament victory, a 20-9 win over Morrisville State. The Ospreys set a school record with 18 victories on the season.
Sophomore Luc Swedlund and senior Colin Wharton were named USILA Honorable Mention All-Americans. Wharton became the first player in school history to earn three USILA All-America Honorable Mention accolades. He also was selected CSAC Defensive Player of the Year. Wharton and Chris Holleritter were chosen USILA Scholar All-Americans.
Swedlund led NCAA Division III in goals per game (4.76) and was sixth in points per game (5.62) while setting school records of 100 goals and 118 points and his postseason honors included CSAC Player of the Year, CSAC First Team as ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, ECAC First Team and Google Cloud Academic All-District.
Head coach Kevin Zulauf was voted CSAC Coach of the Year, his third career Coach of the Year award (2015, 2017, 2019), and freshman Dante Poli was named CSAC Rookie of the Year, joining Wharton and Swedlund for a sweep the conference’s four major postseason awards.
