About Stockton Women’s Rowing

Stockton Women’s Rowing supports the University mission by providing significant components of the whole-person Stockton education. Stockton student-athletes perform both in the classroom and on the field. The student-athlete graduation rate is higher than that of non-athletes, with 75% having a GPA of at least 3.0 rowing athletes represent the very best that Stockton has to offer.

2018-2019 Highlights

  • First-year head coach John Bancheri was hired in January as the women’s rowing program’s first full-time head coach. Bancheri, an Atlantic City native, returned to New Jersey after nearly 35 years coaching at multiple institutions in the Midwest.
  • The Stockton women’s rowing team made tremendous strides during a breakthrough season that set the Ospreys on a path toward future success. The Ospreys registered their best finish ever at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships, third place, plus their first varsity eight medal ever at the famous Dad Vail Regatta with bronze. The Stockton varsity eight finished 20th in the final cMax NCAA Division III rankings, vaulting up from 33rd early in the season.
  • Three rowers from the varsity eight were recognized with MARC all-conference accolades. Olivia Hurley and Lily Ludgate were selected All Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference varsity while Michaela Pope was chosen All Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference novice. All three Ospreys received all-conference honors for the first time.
