About Women’s Tennis
Women’s Tennis supports the University mission by providing significant components of the whole-person Stockton education. Stockton student-athletes perform both in the classroom and on the field. The student-athlete graduation rate is higher than that of non-athletes, with 75% having a GPA of at least 3.0. These players and teams represent the very best of Stockton.
- The Stockton women's tennis team posted a 9-1 record during the fall season. The Ospreys reeled off an eight-match winning streak following an early setback to perennial NJAC powerhouse The College of New Jersey in the first week of the season. The team’s annual spring break trip to Hilton Head was canceled due to COVID-19.
- Head coach Harry Silverstein was rewarded with the NJAC Coach of the Year honor. Freshman Elena Nunez was voted NJAC Rookie of the Year and NJAC all-conference in singles and doubles. Nunez was a two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week selection. Freshman Audrey van Schalkwyk earned NJAC all-conference recognition in doubles.
- Brenna Samuels led Stockton with a 13-1 singles record and was selected NJAC Player of the Week once. Brooke Samuels tied with Nunez for second on the team in singles wins with 11. Sarah Richardson led the Ospreys with 10 doubles victories and went 7-1 in singles. Richardson was chosen NJAC Player of the Week once.
